ARG – the heart of the European pipeline network

With its pipeline network stretching almost 500 km, ARG is the heart of the European ethylene pipeline network. It transports ethylene from Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Antwerp in Belgium, and the Ruhr region via Cologne and Frankfurt to Burghausen on the Austrian border—and, of course, in the other direction as well.

Thanks to the large number of connected ethylene producers and consumers—either directly or indirectly via their own connecting pipelines—it forms a reliable infrastructure for the Western European petrochemical industry and provides the necessary security of supply. This enables the expansion of chemical sites, investment in plants, and the potential establishment of new companies at these locations.

With its long-term, secure, and reliable approach, it supports the efforts of various companies to provide attractive offers and secure jobs in order to attract and retain qualified and motivated young talent for the sometimes highly specialized professions in the chemical industry.
