What does the ARG do?

ARG mbH & Co. KG (ARG) operates an approx.
495 km long ethylene pipeline in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. With its pipeline network stretching from Antwerp via Cologne to the Ruhr region, it forms the backbone of the Central European ethylene chemical industry.

Through shareholdings and capacity acquisitions, the Rotterdam market is also directly connected to the ARG system. The ARG pipeline is a common carrier and therefore accessible to all ethylene producers and consumers under the same transport conditions.

The transport tariff system, which has been in place for many years, promotes long-term partnerships and provides companies connected to the pipeline with a high degree of security of supply.

With SYNEQT (Evonik Operations until December 31, 2025) and Petrochemical Pipeline Services, ARG has technical service providers that were already involved in the construction of the pipeline almost 50 years ago.

These service providers are characterized by a high level of responsibility and identification with ARG management and have demonstrated their technical qualifications in the pipeline maintenance business for many years.

Based in Oberhausen, ARG stands for short, cross-hierarchical communication channels with the companies connected to the network.

Taking into account the high capital commitment of pipeline users with regard to their production facilities, ARG’s business policy is geared towards maintaining a constant presence of the pipeline while maintaining and implementing the highest possible safety standards.

This year, ARG has chosen to donate to Caritasverband Mannheim e. V. For years, the association has been doing invaluable work for people facing difficult life circumstances. ARG's donation will specifically fund projects that enable rapid and effective assistance.

seiSTARK e.V. – ARG supports a great initiative by women for women!

With this year's donation, we are supporting a non-profit organisation founded in January 2022, seiSTARK e.V. in Cologne. It offers socially disadvantaged women or women in need support in their everyday lives and unbureaucratic help.
